My dad said they got sued 4 not hiring aisian cuz they wanted to create a american, hottie look. that's why i don't shop there but is it true? i see aisians wearing it and i am too but i don't wear it cuz i feel too awkward going into the store.

I don't think they got sued over not hiring Asian. From what I heard & read in 2002. A&F made T shirt that was making fun of Asian people. They had some of their graphic T shirt with slainted eyes and other comment. some of the comment on the t shirts are like this:
3. Buddha Bash: Get your Buddha on the Floor (this one has a ridiculous representation of Buddha and Chinese characters)
4. Wok and Bowl (with man in Rice hat bowling)
5. 2 Wongs make it White (laundry t-shirt) The graphic makes these t shirt even more offensive if you can only see them.
Many asians find those t-shirt offended and racist so they protest . A&F took those t shirt out of their company and written a statement to apologized. yep for like being racist because they werent accepting asian, african american, etc people to work there and to model...i mean have u ever seen an asian model...not being like racist but just pointing out tht thts y they were sewed...i am actually going to submit some of my pics to be a model...im half korean..but most people say i dont even look asian..i really dont....i think its because i dont have the asian looking eyes....but i mean i wear hollister and abercrombie and when i go in the store i actually do see some asian people and african american people so that makes me happy cuz itd be sad if abercrombie was like forever racist

Yea, they had offensive "humor tees" a while back, like 4 years ago, but they stopped and they now hire asian models. (not a lot, maybe like 1) I only saw her on one abercrombie bag. If you want to go to someplace less racist then go to hollister, they have plenty of asian models, but they still try to follow the abercrombie trend and use mostly white models.

Come to think of it, I never have seen a different race other than whites working at Abercrombie. How strange. Never thought of it before. That's messed up.
And I also have never seen an ugly person working there. You have to be totally hot to work at Abercrombie. Not realistic.

yeah it got sued like 3 times for offensive tee shirts, not hiring blacks ext. and abercrombie had to pay about 50 million dollars! my sis was one of the ppl who sued them. it was sumthing like, "if u wanna sue abercrombie sign this" sort of thing and they won, she gotta couple hundred bucks too. the law suits worked because i just recently saw a black person working there

well, abercrombie actually got sued for not putting African- Americans on like their bags, and like their models. but i wear abercrombie all the time, everybody goes in the store, u should too.

I don't see any asians in my local Target or Walmart and I still shop there.
I am embarrased that certain asian groups protest about stupid things. They don't represent me.
