Yeah - a whole flock of these damn things have entered my house over the last couple of weeks. My dog ate a couple, yum!
The rest either flopped to the floor, in my kitchen where they got trodden to death or else got burned up in one of my overhead spots.....zzzzsfut. It must be the extended summer.

Do you mean the daddy long-leg spiders?

Their are more some years than others due to weather. We see alot of them every summer here.

yes! Our cat loves chasing them -very amusing. Apparently there are very large numbers of Crane Flies (Daddy Long Legs) this year. Blame warm damp August apparently.

No its not just you i noticed this too then found out through reports on the radio that we are experiencing an infestation this year! I hate the flaming things lol!!

I had 100's all over my caravan and in my awning its a plaque this year, remember the year of the Lady Birds there were 1000's of them

Yes, the weather has had something to do with that! But, you are lucky as the spiders are a natural fly catchers!!!

I've only seen 1 so far & it was on my front porch. when I would touch it it would kind a spring up & down & make it's body hit the siding & make a light thumping noise. it did it several times.

how do you know if they are daddy or jenny long legs? i can't tell the difference, but in answer to your question there have been lots in my kitchen this year.

they are everywhere this year! i have never seen so many of them about before.

they even made it on the news this year, saying there is an influx due to the wierd weather we have been having.
