Lying about you to others to make himself look like the victim?

I've been there before. My husband would say all kinds of things about me and our kids to his family behind my back. Or if they talked bad about me, he said nothing in my defense. I confronted him about it and all he could do was look sheepish. He finally moved out (Of course, he told his family I threw him out.) Anyway, good riddance. I've had enough of the crap.

Oh Lord, he certainly has an inferiority complex about himself, this is not an easy thing to combat. First off, anyone that knows you should know better. But I think about the only thing you could do in this situation and seek counseling, even if he won't go, you go! It will help you get your thoughts together and keep you from losing yourself!

I would call him "gone". Life is too short to be unhappy in a relationship. If he doesn't respect you enough now to share positive facts about you to others he never will. To make himself look better to others at the cost of your reputation is very childish and immature.

Suggest you go for marital counseling to continue on on the marriage. It cannot work if you continue the way you are heading, and you need to be a couple united. All the best to you.

I divorced him. He was startin g to rub off on my young children and I was not going to have that. It has been over 9 years and Life could not be better.

talk to your spouse about it, that it bugs you, or you could do the same and see how your spouse feels.
