I think he does bear part of the blame. He's the leader of that city. He should've been doing something instead of whining about everything.

Mayor Ray School Bus Nagin is one of the biggest racist in America today. A big part of what happened in New Orleans was his fault. Along with the governor of Louisianna. The fighting they had going on prior to Katrina is no excuse for him to not have done his job as mayor of the city. And then, as a typical liberal, what does he do? Look for others to blame his incompetence on. Including the President. He is even too ignorant to realize it when the President as much as told him the problems in New Orleans were his problems, not the federal governments.

He is the epitomy of incompetence. And the people of New Orleans are being fooled and deserve better. But then again, as they say, you get what you deserve.

Ray has actually done a fairly good job in spite of the fact that he insists on behaving like a total retard. I am not sold on the bigoted part because he 'speaks to the audience' and he refuses to be aware of the fact that there will be cameras rolling whenever he is in public.

I do not blame him, it is easy to forget how poorly managed the city government has been run for the last fifty years. In earnest, I blame Marc Morial more than anyone else.

ray nagin is a bigot and a racist, but it is nobody's fault for what happened in n.o,, it was an act of God and nature, the people of n.o. had more than ample warning of the impending danger, and were too damn sorry or unconcerned to do anything about it. some people just wait on the government to do things for them and raise all kind of hell when their "RIGHTS" are violated. they are just a bunch of sorry, lazy, dependant complainers and i'm damn tired of the attention they're getting. to try to help them is a complete WASTE of time, money and resources. bad things happen sometimes.and it is not your or my responsibility to take care of them under these circumstances. let them pick their sorry asses up by their bootstraps and start over or let them stay in the situation that was created by themselves, when all is said and done, i could give a damn less about them

I think he should have been held partially responsible for not getting those people out of there in time. He had 300 school buses sitting still that could have gotten people out in time. Next, the state government should be held responsible then the Feds.
