I am A cheerleader 96lbs and in my opinion cheerleading has kept me skinny! I have been doing Cheerleading for 6 years now and I think my tumbling has kept me in shape also!!!!

Cheerleading is not a sport, although competitive cheerleading can make a strong point but I believe that is only at the college level. The high school levels are just for leading the cheers at a athletic sporting event.

I think cheerleading is a sport. Many think it's not because it doesn't have a ball, but wrestling, track, and many other sports dont either. I also think cheerleading keeps you in shape it can give you muscles and also make you lose fat weight. Tumbling uses your abs a lot too. I think cheerleading is just as much of a sport as baseball is.

YES, cheeleading is a sport. You practice, work out, and always in shape. You attend games. Cheerleading also is a great sport for socializing as well.

I would classify it as a sport as much as i hate cheerleading. Technically you are dping work and working out and losing weight while doing it.It might not be as competetive as another sport but it still classifys.

No because yes, cheerleaders do flip and stuff, but it just doesn't take as much energy or hard work.

its kinda iffy. on one hand, cheerleading is like gymnastics...tumbling, and all and u need arm strenght to do ur little lifts. but then thats all yall do. nothing else is involved u just stand around yelling stuff so yea...it goes both ways
