our faucets part that allows the faucet handle to grip the wall base are broken and worn, we cant' turn water on at all now, i have no clue what those little parts are called, i can't find brand name on fixture, and have been to 4 different stores including home depot, does anyone know where else i could look?

The hardware store, perhaps. If you can't find them there, which I highly doubt, you can try taking the fixture and asking a plumber who can help you find something similar, maybe even for wholesale instead of retail.

Depending on how old the faucet is you should be able to remove the stem from one side. Take that to a hardware or plumbing supply house and they will match it. If not you can replace the old faucet by cutting a hole in the back of the wall and replacing it. If the back isn't accessible then cut from the front. They make a chrome flange to cover the hole that is part of the new faucet. Moen, Delta both have them..

Reach under the sink and turn the water off, first.
Next, remove the broken parts and take them with you to any hardware/home store. They should be able to help you after seeing the parts.

You will Proablly Have to replace the faucet to get this resolved and in the long run it will be cheaper

home depot or lowes sells all types of faucet repairs
