Help me think of a subject PLZ!!?

Question

Hey I am taking a class called Gender & Society. Basically dealing with male and female relationships and roles in the workplace, home, parenting and such. I am having a REALLY hard time deciding what to do a research paper on. I am suppose to pick a subject like "How men and women parent differently" and write a thesis on it. I don't want to just chose what is above because I don't want to do the same exact thing as everyone else. Any ideas?

How about the difference between men and women in the media? You can choose from MANY different types of media....like how in magazines men and women are portrayed differently...
Or, if you wanted to do a compare and contrast.. .try comparing the roles of men and women in Movies/film in the 1950's (or whatever decade you want) and now, and note the differences paralleling to the changing society. Everybody loves movies, so it would be a fun topic that would be interesting to read as well.

Check out the differences in the ways men communicate and the ways women communicate and what needs to be done to understand what each other's saying.

you can do , roles in society , kinda like how do women feel about men being looked at in higher stature

why not pick some stereotypes that women have about men and men have about women and find the basis and the faulty reasoning and generalizations that perpetuate them.

maybe you can focus that topic on the differences in how men and women punish their children-good cap/bad cop etc
