Can I repair a large (6" x 2") chip in my plastic bumper that is cracking more and more, myself?

The cracks from this chip extend out about 7 inches. The bumper seems undamaged. I am not too concerned with how "unprofessional" the job looks.

go to advance auto parts. in the body repair aisle they have a product that is an epoxy made to repair plastic bumpers.
