Many reasons IE could be freezing up. If you get to your home page OK, start with the following:
1. Delete cookies & temporary files (check Delete all offline content),
2. Do an antivirus scan (you may have gotten something that's stating to mess with IE),
3. Do a spyware scan (spyware can slow down or freeze up your browser).
4. If none of that shows problems, but IE still freezes, if you have your Windows installation disk, insert it & enter from the command prompt (Start/Run/cmd or command): SFC /SCANNOW.
5. If the scan didn't show & fix any problems, go to Add/Remove Programs & click Add/Remove Windows Components. Uncheck Internet Explorer, exit, then go back & check Internet Explorer.
If IE is still freezing, take it to a computer repair shop. However, when you're using IE, don't start going to 1 page, then switch to another page without getting to the 1st. Based on your OS & hardware, IE may just be running slow & trying to do too many things at once may freeze it.

Try this first:
1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your Desktop
2. Select Properties
3. Select the Tools tab
4. In the Error Checking section, click on the Check Now button
5. Check both boxes and click on the Start Now button
6. You will receive a message that the volume is currently being used but a disk check can be done at your next computer start-up: choose Yes
Restart your computer and leave it to do the check
When it's finished, try IE Explorer again. If it fails, try and navigate to http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan and do a full system scan on your computer
Good Luck!

restarting ur computer should help...if it doesnt, that may be some spyware thats causing it...scan ur computer and uninstall any third party software that u r sure of being a spyware...u can also try installing internet explorer again....
by the way...this is called a third party intrusion....and IE is a bit prone to it unlike mozilla which i think is not....
