Not because it's half-thawed but because it wasn't thoroughly cooked. Meat should be cooked through to destroy bacteria. If you left it at room temperature to thaw it, it probably bred the bacteria that made you sick when it wasn't fully cooked. Starting with half-frozen meat wouldn't matter if you made sure it was cooked well done.

I never have that problem. My stomach has always been quite strong though. If i need to thaw meat fast, i would use the microwave

yup harmful bateria like salmonilla, all meats must be fuly cooked to kill these and make themsafe, well not always fully cooked but heated to a certain temp anyways

BECAUSE IT CONTAINS HARMFULL BACTERIA THAT IS ONLY KILLED WHEN THE MEAT IS COOKED AT A HOT TEMPERATURE!
