Whether Pluto is a planet or not depends on how planet is defined. Till 24 August it was defined as a planet. ( a more-or-less round body going around the sun.) On 24 August , at the General Assembly of International Astronomical Union, in Prague , a planet was asked to fulfil another condition , namely , that it should have cleared its orbit. ( The planet should have its own highway.) Since Pluto does not dominate its orbit ( it intersects Neptune's), it has been reclassified as a "Dwarf PLanet", which is NOT a planet. There are other Dwarf Planets in orbit beyond Pluto , in what is called Kuiper Belt.

I just learned a little bit about that in science and yes Pluto is not a planet anymore. They have discovered either one or two planets. I don't think they gave them a scientific name yet but soon to be. but since they were just discovered there is still much to figure of about them.
