How long does a spouse have to respond to a divorce in arkansas? He lives in Oregon and I mailed him the divorce papers and he will not sign them or return them? I have heard they only have 30 days but I am not sure. If someone knows please let me know. Thank you.

I have been divorced 4 times. You have 20 days from the time the papers are served in most any state and I know for sure in the state of Arkansas. If they do not reply to the court in writing within the time limit stated on the legal papers he will be in default. You then can do what ever you like. Not making an official reply means he/she is not interested and forfeits their rights. You are open to do as you like in court.

A spouse typically has thirty days to object to the agreement in the papers. If they don't, divorce will be granted and what is in the papers will act as a final order in the judgement of divorce. If they do, mediation is ordered to work out a resolution for the division of property as well as custody if children are involved. After mediation, the divorce is still granted.

What if your spouse is mentally unstable and you talked to their doctor, letting him know that he or she has not progressed in their health and you can no longer take care of them. You want a divorce because of the cruelty conditions and the emotional stress problems. Also, you have taken care of your spouse for 42 years, waited on them hand and foot, now your health is in bad condition. What should I do????

call a lawyer, even the attorneys secretary could be responsive to that and ask actual rapid. i do no longer see why no longer. If that have been the case renting out a room on an identical time as married could be a no no besides.
