What can I do to make the window's on my car roll up and down alot faster?

Mind you, I bought the car and am the second owner to it. I have full documentation of the car and bought it from an older guy. The car still has the original Opelikia, Alabama emblem on the back where it was assembled...lol.

Okay now, you said go and put some silicon on the window edges??? Or take off the panel and put it on the track???

Spray silicon lube on the vertical seals that it rolls up between. Generally the two taller ones along the b-pillar.

Also, if you take the door panel off check the soft guides that the window raises through. If they are out of alignment it might add unneeded resistance.

Cheap, quick, and all you can really do short of buying new motors.

the window motors on most 1985 buicks are relatively slow compared to more modern vehicles. Most of the time when i encounter slower than normal power windows ,i first try the spreay lube method on the window channels and regulator track,if the speed does not improve considerably, then you can pretty well rule out those components and go straight forward to motor replacement. If they truly are about worn out they will eventually start stalling while in use-usually while going up.good luck to you

The car is 21 years old. The motor that moves the window up and down sounds like it is burning out.
