I have been hurt in the past and find it hard to trust people (only properly trust one person). Is this okay or should i trust more people?

I also have issues with trust, just like you. However, these issuses have not arisen because of another person. Its just the way I think. Luckickly i doubt everything and so mostly i am able to pick out the liars. But it is not really ok to not trust everyone.

it takes time to trust someone, but every time you try you get hurt becomes harder to trust. then it affects the how you trust yourself.
you are luck to have one person to trust at the moment i feel i have no one to trust as everyone has run out on me.
i may learn to trust again but it will take very long time, i hope you find some people to trust, but trust them to different levels until you know them well.
i understand how you feel, and it will be a long hard road to travel all i can say is time patience on on everyone part

Unfortunately there are many people in this world that you can't trust so you are probably right to err on the side of caution as long as there are a few people you can trust and you don't rule out adding to that list.

main thing is do u trust urself? cos if u don't its difficult to trust others, i've been in relationships in the past and have been hurt a lot, but its part of life and u learn from them an u become wiser, but u don't take it out on others, for wht happened in the past, jus take it slow and theres plenty of time, ppl need to earn their trust so make sure they work for urs. but start with trusting urself hun ok and everything will come together :-)

It is perfectly ok, i only trust a couple of people, some people i talk to at school talk to me and then i think shall i tell them something cos i can trust them, then i hear them tell someone elses secret later on, then i realise i can't trust them.It fine don't worry. Just be careful who u do and do't trust

Love may be given freely, trust is earned. I don't trust anyone unless they earn it first. Then again, I have had people go out of their way to earn it just to get what they want. I'd rather give you the keys to my car, than the key to my heart.

I hope so, because theres very few people I trust ,for very good reasons,most people are out for them selves and don't care who they hurt,so be it,but don't ask for trust,because you won't get it from me!!
