Dark rings around the eyes are a common problem. Did you know that the eyelid skin is the THINNEST skin found anywhere in the body? Consequently, the eyelid skin is relatively transparent. The darkness relates to circulating blood in the soft tissues beneath the skin. Some people believe it is actually pigment (melanin), however there has never been any biopsy proof for this claim. Chronic irritation, illness, poor nutrition, fatigue and many other conditions can accentuate these rings. Conversely, adequate rest, good nutrition, and overall good health tends to make the circles less noticeable.

Ihave dark circles under my eyes and have been told by doctors that it is allergies, I still use concealer and take allergy med. and that's about all I know. I get plenty of sleep and exercise. Try Benadryl for a few days and see if this helps. I'm taking Zyrtec D now and it seems to be doing better. I was told by afriend to try milk on cotton ball but I Couldn't tell it helped. I'm med. dark skin and dark hair and think that has something to do with it also.

I use cucumber slices over my eyes. They really work and also i use my tea bags after making my tea. For some reason i love green tea and find that it really helps when i cool the used bags and place them on my eyes. if you want beauty products then you could go to www.avon.com and try their maybeline undereye treatment but i find that natural products are better and safer. You should get enough sleep also since sleep is the body's natural medicine.

Try a frozen spoon. Those usually heal hickeys but I've used them in the dark circle case and it has helped alot.

The best treatment is to keep allergies and sinus issues under control...and also a good concealing makeup, I wear neutrogena. Basically alot of it is heredity and you can't do much about that.
