I like online, because....

1. I don't waste money on gas
2. I find what I need faster
3. I don't have to wait in line
4. It's cheaper, since most stores list coupons at http://www.JuicyCoupons.com

For the most part I like shopping online as in my small town there isn't even a shopping mall. The selection is very poor where I live, I would have to drive to the nearest city which is one and half hours away. Shopping online is also easier as you don't have to deal with grumpy sales people, big crowds, etc.

I do like going to the actual stores sometimes though because you can try the article of clothing on to see if it fits right. I guess when shopping online you could always send the item back if it's poorly fitted. Although- you usually have to pay to ship the item back to them if you figure out it doesn't fit right once you recieve it.

I would say that if you know what suits you and what you like, then online clothes shopping can be very practical.

One of my relatives who lives in a more rural area than me buys all her clothes that way because it's harder for her to get to the shops.

She and I meet up twice a year for a 'big shop' at the sales - personally I prefer to try things on, especially if it's something that I'm tempted by in the sales that's not normally my style....

But even though I live in London so have lots of shops nearby, I have started using mail order and it can be very convenient. The La Redoute website is excellent - www.laredoute.com - there is LX direct for cheaper things (good for basics or stuff you only want for one season) www.lxdirect.co.uk. Boden's catalogue is also online, and some of the high street shops eg TopShop also have online shops now too..

As for snooty shop assistants, ignore them. If you can afford it, go to the big departments stores where there are lots of different brands under one roof and nice changing rooms with individual cubicles. Size 16 is a normal size and if one shop is no good, take your business elsewhere....

Finally I would say better to spend money on fewer clothes which really suit you and you love to wear rather than wasting money on a lot of things which don't earn their keep. So make sure that any mail order has a good returns policy (QVC is excellent for that) so that you don't feel you have to keep stuff that's not what you wanted.

I'm a mixture of size according to each store I go into, in one shop I'm a size 12, but in another I'm a size 10, so unless I try on the clothes chances are if I shopped online the clothes might not fit.

I mainly like going to the stores because then you can try things on and see the testure af an artical of clothing. I usually don't shop at boutique's, I usually chop at chain stores (in malls). So I have most the styles like memorized from online then when I get to the mall I can compare.

i prefer to shop in the store as different cut clothes fit differently, i can get a size 8 jeans and also fit in a size 6. I dont know why they look at you funny, they are just rude! i find smaller clothes harder to get (im in the uk) as all the best clothes start in a size 10.

Hi there! I am also a size 16. And I find that online there are much more options!! Also I love Ebay, there are things on there for really great prices!! New and Used....But, there is a downfall to it too....I got a pair of jeans in the mail this week and they were to small. Sending things back can be a hassle....Good Luck!

I prefer to touch the clothing and I don't like paying shipping. But if I know my size at a particular clothing designer/manufacturer and I know that I like their clothing then I may buy it online. I especially like to go online clearance shopping.

For clothes? At the store that way I can try it on.

For some other things? Online because they are sometimes cheaper. But if I need it right away I run to the store.

Online, with 2 kids its so much easier and no embarrassing moments. Only thing I hate is when you need to return things, but most shops do this for free
