that's where global wind currents eventually take them. nothing "knowing" about it, that's where all gases eventually end up i suppose

First, the North Pole does not have an ozone hole, it is the antarctic pole that does. Second, it is not that CFCs know to go there - they circulate around the entire world and are concentrated above populated areas. The reason the ozone hole formed there is the processes of the Antarctic winter and spring are particularly good at turning CFCs into the free radicals that react with, and hence deplete ozone.

They tend to get trapped at the south pole more than the north. This is because at the poles the winds are circular. So things caught there tend to stay there. Hence CFCs get concentrated at the poles because one there it is difficult for them to escape.

I don't believe they do. They don't have a "mind" to think their way there. It has more to do with a group of people (an industry) who has tried to push an agenda down our throats so much that people start to believe it as fact. Global warming could be happening (not enough years available to get accurate data) but man could never be the problem. One volcano eruption emits more greenhouse gasses into the air than man has done since the industrial revolution started back in about 1800.

It is an arrogant thing to believe we could be responsible for global warming as a whole.

Do we add to the situation? Yes, but in a minute sort of way compared to a volcanic episode. You do some in depth investigating and you'll find out that this "global warming problem" is all about money. Even the weather channel has gotten into the act of pushing agendas such as this by turning the subject of weather into a social change vehicle. Seems everyone is getting on the "global warming band wagon"

Most people fall for it. The press as did most democrats (very disappointing!). I am all about doing things to "save" the environment. Recycling. Intelligent wood harvesting. Picking-up litter. Even cutting down on CFC's, but to believe that in 200 years, man has ruined the earth, is absurd!

The acid rain shows them the way.

As you know already, they're not sentient beings and it's wind and climate patterns that cause them to accumulate in a particular place.
