Yes, I own the movie. It's good, but the book is better.

yesssss! My light bill went up about 20 dollars because I refused to sleep with the lights off,even the closet light was on!!! It made me afraid of clowns and storn drains,and if i wasnt afraid b4 i was after i watched the movie!!! ( i saw it at a friends house, on vhs)

Yes, and as far as a mini-series, made-for-tv adaptation goes, I think it's one of Stephen King's better. The book was much darker, and far scarier though, so if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it!

turn off the dvd and pick up the book. it's far superior. i must warn you to turn on the lights lock the doors and sit somewhere you feel safe...............because IT is out there in the dark, waiting.
