OK here we go there are companies in the other side of the border that specialize in doing the nesesary papperwork to take make your car legal in Mexico, it usually takes them a week to get it done. There are some restriccions, for example the car has to be 96 and under as for trucks you can not take heavy duty trucks, like dually's or 8 lug trucks. You should not take your car. You should sell it before you leave the US and then buy a local Mexican car because you will have lots of problems getting yours repaired and getting parts for it. because even though they may look the same, their mechanical parts are totally different.

you need to check with customs ya better keep your US citizenship. You need to get a visa if they will give you one. They dont want us down there. If you go to jail for anything your gone for a long time for anything there

if its in your name make sure you have the title with you. you will have to keep the tags n send them back. also u might have to pay the taxes go to us customs page or mexican customs page for informaton to.
