Decoyarya,
Listen to me, because I have real experience handling fish and aquariums.
I tried to put a fish into my aquarium after 3 days. But this proved too much time. Even though the fish had been in the fridge they sank to the bottom of the tank. I was unable to revive them although I ended up damaging my toaster trying.
So get those fish in the aquarium within say 2 days, I would guess, as long as the fish are refridgerated. (3 days is too much time!). If your fish are not in the fridge, its anyones guess how long.
I hope this is a help.

You need to late the tank cycle. This process usually takes about 2 weeks or less. You will see your fish tank become cloudy, and then after about 2-3 when they water looks clear, then wait another 2 days, and then it is safe to add fish. Don't add to many at one time.

Wait at least 24 hrs. I personally have a quarantine tank. It is just a 5 gal. tank. I use it as a hospital tank. It has antibiotics s in it to make sure new fish are safe. (Penicillin) Get from vet.

You should be fine to add your first fish now, then wait another four days befor adding another pair. It takes time for your tank to develop the abitlity to deal with an increase in the bio-load,

Check these 2 sites, search for cycling a fish tank, or fishless cycling. Lots of good info.
If you add fish too soon, before your tank is cycled, you'll most likely end up with dead fish from ammonia or nitrite poisoning.

you should probably wait another 2-3 more days then maby add 1 fish. if you add too many fish all at once the water will become toxic.
