My parents say my back is straight, but when I walk, its like my back is not straight and I start not to feel confident when I walk. What do you suggest I do, does anyone have this problem, or am I the only one. When I walk I must always carry a bag or i just feel like Im not walking with a straight posture. Also Im tall so maybe its becasuse of that? Advise pLease!

Forget about how you walk. Look straight ahead, keep your head up. Once you can do that it helps already.

Sometimes it also helps to stride with larger steps, faster pace, keeping a bounce and rhythm to your stride.
Listen to music that has a moderate beat to it, like some R & B, while you walk, and bounce on your heels to that!

Finally, smile. Walk a few times in front of a full length mirror, and just have confidence in your walking style.

I have the same problem. Only in my case my back really isn't straight. I went to see a doctor who sent me to an orthopaedic surgeon and i was diagnosed with scoliosis. I also needed a bag to make me feel more comfortable when walking but then in my case the lack of confidence was warranted. I would advise you to see a doctor and get x-rays to make sure there isn't a problem.

You could change the way you walk also, try modelling maybe cuz the strutting makes you feel stronger and remember that you are important. Confidence is a state of the mind and you should tell yourself regularly that you are someobody. If your back isn't straight.. there are excercises that can help correct the problem. Mostly yoga stretches... you could try them just for fun but you'll find the really do help.

God, I wish I was tall! Put your shoulders back & pretend you have a string running through the top of your head & down your spine - in your mind, pull the string when you feel like your posture is not to your liking.

Imagine a string pulling the top of your head to the ceiling. You can stretch up all the way from yor hips that way, and it straightens your posture.
