Any field where horses are kept.
As long as the grass has been kept fairly short and no chemical fertilisers have been used it shouldn't take too long to get your eye in.
You could try Allerton High school field in North Leeds or,
the playing fields next to King Alfred's Castle off Stonegate Rd Leeds.
The fields around Harewood House and Kirby Overblow between Leeds and Harrogate are very good too.
Happy hunting!

Any unfertilised land is a good place. Up in the hills is your best bet. Don't bother with anywhere that has had fertiliser spread on it - they won't grow.
