Who the hell does Bush think he is, and what his and the U.S.'s role in the world are? Are we really above the law because 20 some odd terrorist hijacked 4 planes and smashed up New York, the Pentagon and a cow pasture in rural Pennsylvainia? Can we detain anyone in the world who looks funny to us? Is this a good example of democracy to intice our Arab brethren? We preach freedom and human rights and deliver imprisonment and death. 5 BILLION of your tax dollars a month to finace this insanity.

A six pack of Coca Cola for our troops in Iraq = $3.00 + $42.00 shipping and handling.

Interested, my momma warned about people like you. Over 12K are not being held in US territory. Your tax money spent in Kurdistan to beat, kill and maim anyone the US decides to detain (kidnap).

Bush surely is an overbearing ***. He thinks that everything should be his way. He might as well use the Bill of Rights as toilet paper, he tries to "amend" (I put it in quotes because he it is less amending and more making it a narrow minded and intolerant), and now he even wants to "interpret" the Geneva Conventions. Where does this guy stop?

You obviously don't understand what this war is about. First of all you exaggerations are obscene. "torture is fine"- you are wrong. Unlike other nations, when our guys get caught performing so-called 'torture' they go to jail, like the Abu Gihrab folks. It is sad that you think anything that make someone uncomfortable for a minute is torture. This really shows how spoiled you are.
Read: Against all hope by Armando Valladeres if you want to know what real torture is.
When you are fighting for your survival, the "rules of international law" do not apply. We are fighting for the survival of the west versus Islamo-fascism, and they will destroy us while we play nice. I say no, we have already learned this lesson, why should we risk it again? WW2 was a fight for survival, and all sides abandoned the rules of war, bombing cities and killing non-combatants. Maybe this just shows you the absurdity of trying to make rules for war in the first place.
Oh well, you will never learn. Thank God people like you don't run things so that we can just hand the world over to the Islamo-fascists, letting those willing to be the most brutal win the contest. Much like Clinton's 'strategy' of diplomacy, even after 6 terrorist attacks against American interests during his presidency, led to 9/11, your strategy of 'play nice at all costs' would lead to total defeat, but you will never see that because you don't see the world as it is, you see it as you wish it was. Too bad.

Since The USSR deteriorated the USA has assumed the role of boss of the world. Bush thinks he is above the law and everything humane because he is called 'president' of boss of the world. Trouble is... all the power is in the wrong hands. It is no longer the power of the people but the power of the dollar. Only the descent people of the USA can save the world now. Make sure you get the party in power you actually vote for (that would be different).

Voting is part of the illusion of a democracy. Fascists (The Federal Reserve) have run this country as they have seen fit for over 90 years now. The Ruling Class has determined that their corporation should have $39 per 6-pack of coke so that's the way it is. It's about as legal as our income tax but nothing short of drastic action is likely to change any of it.

The sheeple will sit and watch our nation proceed on course.

Go see Aaron Russo's new movie: www.freedomtofascism.com.

It's a wake-up call for the populace.

Go join moveon.com since it is obvious you believe in the same liberalist trash they do. Problem on the detainees is they are terrorists not representing a uniformed army and the Geneva Convention has not been tested in such a way as it is now. Don't call these scum "Arab bretheren" since they don't represent what the majority of followers of Islam are supposed to be about; but rather a radical fascistic version perverting thier religion, throwing them back to things espoused from the Koran which applied in the 8th Century.

Maybe because our founding fathers meant for us to have our own laws. Why should the USA abide by internatational laws, when the international community doesnt abide by them. Does the terrorist groups abide by the Geneva Convention? No, they just cut your head off and hold it up and say "Praise be to Allah" . Thats their form of international law. Human rights? I think the USA does more for human rights than any other country in the world. The problem with libs like you, is that you want to blame the Americans first for everything. Wake up, and smell the roses.

Your questions are obviously rhetorical and there is no interest in the answers... rather, they are statements of your personal beliefs taken in context as these things relate to you. Keep in mind this is only your personal viewpoint and not the same as others. Also you are not correct simply by default.

When you have ALL of the facts and angles in each of these questions you will be able to answer them for yourself. Perhaps the best answer to these questions is this one:

What are you personally doing to affect change in each of these areas, and what are your suggested solutions?
