The best way I have found to identify cheap flights is to go to the website of your destination airport who will list all airlines that fly there from your country. Then go to the website of each airline, make a note of their best price and compare with the others. It's time consuming but works much better than the internet sites that claim to do all the checking for you.

I usually find Ryanair to give good prices, especially if you book early. If you leave it until the last minute they are more expensive, also mid-week travel tends to be cheaper.
I am not 100% sure if they fly to and from Heraklion.

We use jet2.com, and go to air kiosk and put in you dates and airports a grid will come up then you can see how much each days flight will be. Some the package holiday firms are quite good as well, like 1st Choice and Monarch as they do flight only as well.

Don't believe the answer that the best site is the one that scans all the airlines.
Some sites have SPECIAL DEALS with the airlines. This is also true of the travel agents too (I priced a USA-NZ-Tahiti-USA trip at $3,500 online but bought from a travel agent for $2,200).

The best thing to do is go to the travel comparison site www.travelsupermarket.com and all the airlines catering for your flight will be shown the cheapest first.
Enjoy your travels

Contact any travel agency dealing with charter flights; they will certainly find you direct airplane tickets for €60 or something aroung that...
Also try www.easyjet.com or .gr, I'm not sure...

Hi,
THE best site for flight prices is www.skyscanner.net - it searches all the other airlines!
Also try www.haggle4me.com, you find your best price, list it on haggle4me and see if anyone can beat it.
**If you have specific dates in mine, edit your question and I will look for you! ***
