There is nobody in the world that can make you happy but you. If you are in love with this person, then don't let anyone stand in the way. We all bleed the same blood, love with the same heart and live in the same crazy world. But at the same time, a word of caution....My current husband is caucasian and was in love with a hispanic girl. They were encouraged to leave each other alone (by her racist parents.) She got pregnant. She ended up dying of pancreitis and an obstruction of the bowel aprox. a year after baby was born. Her parents fought and won custody of child, and now my husband is not allowed to see his first son. So just be careful in what you do.

I think that these sort of relationships can be very hard on both people. When you at least share the same culture with the person you are dating there is less chance for this sort of friction to develop. But, if you think about it, most relationships ultimately end also, so if you really like someone from a different culture and are willing to endure the problems that accompany that sort of relationship:go for it.

From my experience, bi-cultural relationships are not easy, but love always prevails. If you really love someone, no matter what race they are, it is worth it. In every relationship, you will have some sort of issue, this is just one of those things. It is not to be entered in lightly, as there are many obstacles.

bi-cultural relationships take work. if you speak the same language it helps, but the cultural differences are often the ones that cause the biggest problems. make sure you can communicate well and try to get his friends and family on your side. if you can't it might be an uphill battle. are you prepared to fight?

You two let other people decide your feelings for you. I guess the peer pressure was stronger then the love you had for each other (sorry to hear that)
