I reformatted my computer, and it has it's sound card built into the motherboard so I'm not sure what type it is, does anyone know how I can figure that out? If I can find what type it is I can easily enough find a driver for it.

Thanks,

-David

Head over to the motherboard manufacturer's website and view the specs for that particular chipset.

By the way, as a general rule of thumb, a generic Creative Labs driver will pretty much drive almost any chipset, so you can at least have sound of some quality until you find the right one.

Good luck.

You should look for your mother's board driver CD, or go to the mother's board manufacturer's site, there you should find drivers in the download section of the site
