One of my friends is going to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Anyway, he's been brainstorming for ideas. Now his girlfriend really loves riddles, so would it be lame or romantic if he somehow asked her to marry him in a riddle?

If she likes riddles, she probably likes scavenger hunt. Maybe he could set something up where she has to solve riddles to go to the next room and so on until she finds the ring!

I personally love to laugh, i love riddles. I like the scavenger hunt ideas.. use riddles to get to the next place and he should be the last place (maybe a closet) on his knees with the ring. She would not excpect to find him there... I would also ask a friend to video tape her looking... saying something to his fiancee in the first clue..... This is the beginning... find the answer to the riddele by following the clues, and since I cant be there please allow our friend to video tape it. Good luck to your friend how ever he decides to propose.. Tell him to make sure and keep the romance and fun alive for ever... even after the honeymoon is over :-)

If she loves riddles it would definately be romantic. Personally I would love to be whisked off to the airport, headed for a romantic location. But to each his own. The most important thing is that it be what she loves, and if riddles is it. It sounds great. I would also incorporate some other things she enjoys or has always wanted to do.

it sounds okay, but what if she doesn't get the riddle? It will mess up his whole plan. It would be cool if he had riddles that would lead her to a ring hidden somewhere in the house. Remember that all girls dream of their engagement to be romantic and fairy-tale like. Good Luck on this one

I think the scavenger hunt is the best idea too. Make sure he also buys a small box so she will have someplace to keep the clues safe forever.

How sweet. What a lovely personalized gesture. As a romantic at heart i would be swept off my Diana Ferrari's. Tell him great idea. Tell him to make it slightly humorous to balance it out so its not too soppy. cheers!

No, I think it would be cute, just make sure he writes it down so she can keep the riddle with her always.
