my mother in law knows i don't like my hubby(her son)looking at playboys and stuff but she buys it anyways.

I've talked it over with both my hubby and his mom, but she doesn't get it. She said she would stop but then 2 weeks later he has a new one and told me his mom gave it to him when she knew i wasn't around.She even gave them to him when I was pregant as if I didn't feel good enough about my body being pregant! who's wrong?

2. Why would a MAN accept Playboy from his mother?
3. Setting aside the hormonal imbalance of being preg. Why would you care if you husband reads Playboy? He is NEVER going to get one of those girls.

There is WAY too much weirdness in this situation.

Without a doubt in this case your mother-in-law is over stepping the boundaries of reasonable behaviour, if you have asked her not to supply her son with porn she should listen to you.

I have to admit that I do find it weird that he doesn't buy his own, and that his mother buys it for him.....a little too close?

And to be perfectly honest - what's your hang up with porn anyway, particularly if its the likes of playboy, I mean its hardly hardcore now is it? Why don't you take a look yourself, if you could share his interest for a while, may be his mother would butt out - which would be the best result really now we're being honest.

Why not talk to hubby? It sounds like Mom is odd, and her son seems to be a mommy's boy. Why would she buy Playboy for her married son? Heck, buy some Playgirl magazines, and leave them out where hubby can see them. He probably wouldn't like it if you start hanging male centerfolds up in your bedroom- so do it. When he gets mad, simply say you'll quit when he quits bringing girlie magazines into the house.

I wouldn't stress about him looking at Playboys since he's with you and not the images of other women on paper.

But, I will have to concur with you that to have his mom buy him Playboys is not right at all and you need to tell him to either be an adult and go buy them himself or maybe he's not mature enough to be looking at that material anyway. Sounds like a spooky mother-son relationship if you ask me.

If your husband is a real man, he wouldn't hide behind his mom to buy him Playboy, that's just weird.

Its only pictures and its not much different than the 7 Victorias Secret catalogs that probably get deliverd to your house every week, so don't even bother being bothered by it.
Tell him to grow enough of a pair and buy the magazine himself, or give it up.

This is a very serious issue. I would put my foot down and give him a choice, Playboys or me? He also needs to tell his mother to stop buying them for him. Its kinda of weird anyway that a mother would want to do that for her son at any age or life stage.
