Liberals dont hate freedom:
They love the freedom to protest
They love the freedom to hate the government
They love the freedom to dictate thier beliefs on everyone else.
They love to belong to communist groups.
They love to belong to Move on dot org.
They love the freedom to have abortions
They love the freedom to take "God" of of the pledge of allegiance
They love the freedom to sue in the name of the ACLU
They love the freedom to blame our government for abuses but fail to blame the right people...the terrorists
They love the freedom to think that everything the conservatives do is a conspiracy
Most of all they love the freedom that our servicemen and women have died for to give thier sorry selves the right to express thier beliefs

They have to if they endorse equality. The two concepts are like opposite buckets on the rope hanging in a well. If one bucket is up (freedom) the other bucket (equality) MUST be down. And if the other bucket is up (equality) then the other bucket (freedom) must be down.
We cannot be free and equal at the same time. If we are actually free then people will never be equal. There will always be those who make millions of dollars through hard work and overcoming adversity and there will ALWAYS be those who remain perpetually poor because they believe they are victims of racism, sexism, genetics, or the government.
A good rule in like is this:
"Hard working people love freedom--because they can rise to any level they work hard enough to reach. Lazy people love equality--because it offers them something for nothing. Money is taken from the rich and given to them. It is welfare mentality. They don't need to work, they just need to claim they're a victim and then money will be given to them to make society equal."

Like the freedom of choice?
Like the freedom for people to sit where they want on a bus?
Like the freedom to privacy (wanting some judicial overview to wiretapping)?
Like the freedom to not worship (or have to live by the rules of)your religion?
Like the freedom to read and watch what ever the hell we want?
Like the freedom of decent? To protest the actions of an idiot president?
Like the freedom to free speech (including burning the flag)? (Why people value the symbol more than the principle is beyond me.)
Yeah, we hate our freedom.

They don't. But where did you get this idea? Do you mean economic freedom or moral freedom? Because most liberals DO believe in moral freedom e.g. gay marriage, abortion, etc. I do however believe that income inequality is a problem, so in that sense I would limit certain kinds of economic freedom.

The liberals try to preserve freedom (you must KNOW the ACLU aren't conservative, don't you?). It is the conservatives, including the current administration, that are trying to dismantle our freedom.

At any rate, I'm a liberal and I think I value freedom more than most of today's neocon leadership. After all, I don't support limits on free speech or free association like Alberto Gonzales and GWB.

thats a broad generalization... not all liberals hate freedom -- If you are talking about the immigrants -- my opinion is that they need to earn citizenship like everyone else. If its another question you are point at -- be more descriptive.
