I found a computer in the newspaper today at COMPUSA for $149. Its an HP, and it has
- HP 17" CRT Monitor
-HP all in one printer
-Burns and plays CDs
-256 MB, 80 GB hardrive.

Can you tell me if its any good? Should I get it?

Absolutely not... Let Me give u a Good configuration that I have and which is perfect for any user and also is worth the cost...
HCL PC WHICH HAS...
INTEL P4 (915 PROCESSOR)
512 MB RAM
3.06 GHZ SPEED
80 GB HARD DRIVE
128 MB GE FORCE FX GRAPHICS CARD
17" CRT MONITOR(MERCURY)
MERCURY CPU
DVD COMBO DRIVE
I hope this configuration would work for u... Thats the best that I can do for U... Dont know about Printers...Bye...

I looked at the ad and it does not say what operating system is installed. I doubt that it is Windows XP. Probably some other Linux knock off. Might not be a good choice for you. I do not know for sure. It sounds like a good deal but I would buy it and add another 256 MBytes of memory to bring it up to 512MBytes for better performance.

Sounds ok.The 256 ram a lot slower than the more update computers but for that price it sounds alright.Make sure it works.

If it is new, still in the original box, and you can tell it is not been open. Then by all means go for it.
If it is used, I would not touch. You can not judge a computer by how it looks on the outside.
Ask your self why are they sailing so cheap.

If your just gonna use it for basic uses like Playing Music, printing off homework and typing papers. That will do! but any other then that! this isnt a very good PC for heavy usage.
