i hate it when people think that bc u listin to metal that they think your emo, the orther say i wore a black shirt n jeans n my friend said i was becoming emo, but im not depressed or emotinal or anything! im a very happy person, who can i make people stop callin me emo?

Uh...don't know where you got that from. I listen to a lot of metal and death core but am in no way Emo. Generally speaking...the kids that listen to Dashboard and Taking Back Sunday are considered Emo, because that kind of music, all they sing about is something sad or they're just whining to begin with.
When I think of Metal, I think 80's hair bands, people that ride motorcycles and things of the like. People like to call other people Emo, even if they aren't, because Emo people come off as kind of weak and all they do is cry about everything, or at least that's what people depict them as. Just because you wear black doesn't mean a damn thing. People that are trying to slim their figure wear black. People that are on the sofisticated side wear black. People that are Goth wear black.
Whoever told you that is a moron and doesn't have their head on straight!
Stop stereotyping, people! We're all the same! We all have 2 eyes, legs and arms! Music should be kept with music, lifestyles should be kept with lifestyles! Quit mixing them and trying to come up with something cool, 'cause it won't work!

So why do you listen to metal? Think about it, most emos do listen to metal and wear all black, but strange black and do the hair over the eyes and the black makeup. IF you are doing those, too, well,,,,if the shoe fits, wear it. Your friend makes fun of how you dress or what you listen to? Maybe it's time for a new friend...if he/she is a friend at all! its not so much you listen to its more of how you act, dress...more along the line dress..and emos not such a bad thing...im not emo..but people just react diffent to it becuz there not used to it
