This is an odd question... LOL

I suppose you're asking about road repair ideas of the future...

Patches of cement, tar and gravel, asphalt and the like do have their shortfalls, don't they? Yes, I think they do. Well. let's give this some thought - hmmm.

If road repair was made with a completely different material, let's say one of a plastic nature, it could be recycled and incorparated into future repair needs in the same location again and again. Put up a plus for plastics.

How about old tires? We find it hard to degrade them without harming the environment anyhow, perhaps they could be shredded and used in an asphalt mix.

What does the internet offer?

This site offers a new cement mixture:

This site touts a better expansion joiny for concrete patches:

...and this site is an in-progress development of a non-expansion mix:

I personally don't feel qualified to comment any further except to say again what an odd question you've posed - necessary but nonetheless odd. Thanks for taking an interest in this subject... somebody has to do it.
