They have both been married 2 times and divorced.
A couple just started dateing 4 months ago and now engaged to be married in 2 months. What are the odds it will end in divorce?

He just recently was in a 6 year relationship, cheated with the soon to be wife, got caught, and that is why they are together. They bought a house together 2 months later. She has two kids and he has one.

well marriage is the harsh reality after lust. I know for myself that if i ever get a divorce then it will be years before I even think about it again. I would say that neither one has a great track record for being in relationships. you have 4 families that have been split up by these people and they don't seem to care so now they are moving on to another one to break up. I don't see it working. My dad was married 4 times divorced 4 times my mom married 4 divorced 3. I just don't see it lasting. The hardest thing will be for the children. Unless there is someone on the sidelines that has told both parties why they continue to get a divorces this will fail too. I would suggest waiting for a year or more. Sometimes people who have been previously married feel that they must be married again to make them whole. Because they haven't healed from the one before. To make any relationship work there has to be two people who are 100% that come in to it. Not the 50 50 we think makes up 100% because even the new one is going to take a little for themselves.

If they are both willing to take the plunge for a third time, after just 6 months of being together, neither one has learned much from the past and are likely getting married for the wrong reasons (lonely?). If they took their time, they'd have a much better chance of things working out. IMHO.

They say first marriage for love, second for money third for a lifetime of love and money.
Unfortunately there is a 50/50 chance they will stay together, at least according to statistics.
They seem to be rushing to get married but maybe they know this is the right one.
Wish them well and hope for the best!

Finding the right mate isn't all that easy. Just because it's the third time for both of them, doesn't mean that they're not "right" for each other. My wife and I are married for the third time each...and have been married for 11 years. It looks like this one is the magic one!!

Only time will tell. Maybe they both finally found the right person and will be together for many years. Maybe they will kill each other in a drunken rage 6 months from now. You just never know.

It depends if they learned anything from their prior divorces or not. It they learned why the other marriages failed and commit to correcting this they stand a good chance of surviving.

Sounds like they have no respect for the institution of marriage. Its too easy to get divorced.

80%, you have alot of factors,, how long were they divorced before they dated??? we all put on blinders when dating someone new,, it is new and fun,, Are there kids on either side???

I have been married and divorced twice,, I would say with kids, their chances are not good

IF either have minor children the outlook is bad. If you have minor children and have one between you, the outlook is even worse.
