Thanks for the opinion chuck .... even though you did not answer the question, you don't appear to be a lawyer, and I doubt you even live in Georgia but thanks anyway.... maybe you should drop the keyboard and hit the treadmill for a while

I'm an attorney, but not in Georgia. Most states do not allow attorneys to represent clients in small claims court.

Also, what exactly are your damages? If you still have the vehicle, most states require you to try to sell it to another person to mitigate your damages. You should sell the car to another person and use the eBay complaint procedures before filing a lawsuit.

There are plenty of websites that refer people to real attorneys at no cost. I've posted a couple links below.

so you still have the car, so exactly how much is the claim for, the selling cost on ebay.

You re-sale the car and then if it sells for less, you may be able to claim the difference.

Now if they got the title and took the car, and then cancelled the check, you call the police

But sorry with the small amount this case could bring I don't see any attorney doing it on a contingency basis

You don't need a lawyer for small claims. They won't do it anyway because it will cost more for the attorney than the case is worth if you win.

regularly in small claims, no guy or woman may well be represented by using a criminal expert. regardless of if your landlord can no longer take place, he can no longer deliver his criminal expert because of the fact the criminal expert can no longer testify as to the info. the only time a criminal expert is permited to look in small claims is that if the occasion is a company which isn't a "individual" in the criminal experience.
