These days, I find myself gravitating toward people who are intellectually-stimulating and interested in things like politics, worldly affairs, literature, the arts, and highbrow culture... except for when I am looking for sex, in which case I'll take a dumb airhead over a sophisticated "plain Jane."

You yourself are growing as a person, so you need stimulation and the old friends that you have might not be as for the dumb airhead your taking to bed that might be from a couple of reasons (1) its a lot easier to get a air head into bed or (2) you don't feel comfortable w/ yourself to go after someone who might have a brain. (3) Your afraid of commitment. educated people usually need one in order to take that step
