how can i reformat and reinstall my labtop?

Firstly before you reformat the pc, back-up your data and then determine the cd to be used.

Go thru the normal installation of the OS and then instead of upgrading the pc install a new copy of the said software. Format the location with NTFS and then install the new operating system, By the way why do you wanna reformat the laptop.
