It's going to be the Springboks of course...

This is because of the following:

New Zealand will start as the overwhelming favourites, but will choke again like they do at every WC after 1987.

Australia are relying on a bunch of oldtimers who will all need their asthma pumps and walking sticks before the tournament is over.

England will be relying on Jonny Wilkinson, but on the eve of their first game, he will get injured (again!) and they will self destruct. In an act of desperation, they will phone Martin Johnson and beg him to return, but alas he will be on holiday and will refuse to come.

Ireland, Wales, Italy, Scotland and Argentina will be there just to make up the numbers - there's no way that any of them can win the WC.

The only real threat to SA, will be France. With home ground advantage and a good team, they will be tough to beat.
However, we all know that they are really inconsistent (sublime the one moment, horrible the next), so the Boks will beat them 33-19 in the Final!

Cheers :-)

Although the All Blacks have been the favourite team to win the world cup. This will be the first time that they go to the world cup properly prepared. The competition will be tuff but i believe the All Blacks will go all the way.

It breaks my heart but I have to say New Zealand. They are a fantastic team and have the potential to go far, as seen in there win over the Bledisloe and Tri Nations. Remember they were in the Semis last time but they will go extremely far, I would die from shock if they didn't make it to the finals. I also think South Africa has alot of potential and as another user said, 'they are peaking at the right time.' Well my team won't sink without a fight! GO THE WALLABIES!!!!!!!!
Have a fantastic day

Peace

New Zealand, the loss was good for them as it showed them that they arent invincible, so they dont get big headed and overconfident thus making them invincible as they can outclass any side in the world, as one writer put it, "the All Blacks can create a masterpiece in a flick of the wrist" they are just too dangerous, you make a mistake and they will take the ball the other way for a try

The All Blacks, they haven't won in a bit so they're due, they have the depth and the technique. Out of all the teams they are the only ones without serious questions at key positions

France, homefield atvantage and the only team that can beat an on form All Blacks.
The All Blacks are always the faviorate, but they seem to choke when it really matters.

i have to say the abs. south africa relys too heavilly on about 3 players, and wont be able to maintain any momentum through injuries. id say it would come down to nz and france and god i hope the stadium is bombed if france wins
