I was walking out of a department store where some officers and security ask me a bizarre question and started attacking me. I believe the officer stated I assaulted him because he slipped of the curb and fell on his back. I am requesting the store tapes to be viewed, but because of my priors I am afraid they are going to stick me....they first had charged me of shoplifting and then they dropped it....please help.

You need a Lawyer. The Lawyer will be able to obtain the security tapes - NOT YOU. No business in their right minds will give or allow inspection of the security video to the accused.
If you had personal video of the incident, you would not willingly allow those you accuse of assault to have the tape to view. Its a common sense thing.
If things happened just the way you said - it will show IF and ONLY IF the incident occurred in front of security cameras. If such tape evidence exists, it will clear you, and open up a means to sue the store and security officers.
HOWEVER - keep in mind, you said you have a tendency to violence and it maybe possible you appeared suspicious to them and you over reacted - thus the security officers may have acted accordingly. When people get angry as hell - we get tunnel vision and unless we see ourselves on Video tape do not realize the differences between what really happened and what we believed happened.
Don't get me wrong. I am not accusing you but hoping to point out possibilities. IF THE TAPE SHOWS YOU ARE AT FAULT (if a tape exists) Your only hope would be to Offer the judge an Admission of guilt and confess you really had no idea that you were the one out of line and OFFER to put yourself under Anger management and therapy. You would then put yourself on the mercy of the court.
If you are easily angered - you dare not show it in the court room and really do need help. Work on your temper. I know all too well how anger can get people in trouble.
