Great question. Got three for you:
1. Monster Magnet... the band had two skanky strippers with them. They performed three songs and then let the strippers grind on them for the rest of the 'show'. Why are they not around anymore?
2. Type-O Negative... They came out too drunk to perform and yelled at the sound and lights guys for the reason they sucked. They also covered "Back in the USSR" and had a Soviet looking set, but their dumb *** fans did a Nazi Zeig Hail salute. First show I have ever walked out on.
3. Hed PE... they came out on stage like they had the number one song in the country (they didn't). They have DJ who was trying to be bad ***, by pushing and kicking his turntables. Well the ***, actually knocked his turntables over and they shattered on the stage. It delayed the show, and the band's had to perform the remaining songs with out the assistance of the DJ, who was reduced to a 'dancer' for the rest of the show.

Steve Miller. He was great performing, but the venue sucked beyond belief and the fans were all drunks looking for a fight. And then this kid climbed a tree 5 feet from me and broke a branch that came inches from hitting me.
Otherwise the show was great, he and Eric Johnson combined with the Band and did "Winter Time" as the closing song and it was incredible with 2 lead guitars.

The Black Crowes performance at the Horde Festival in 1995.
Chris Robinson, the lead singer, was so drugged out he couldn't remember the lyrics to the songs let alone sing them. I was so disappointed that I wanted my money back.

Iron Maiden, 1975 Mendocino County, CA
They were on their way out...and their lights were out in addition to nobody home.
Helen Reddy, 1983 Sonoma County Fairgrounds, Santa Rosa, CA
She was too doped up to sing "You're no good...no good, no good, Baby, you're no goooooooood..." and she stumbled off the stage. Rumor had it that the feds were looking to bust her.

I went to a Journey concert a long time ago and Steve Perry sounded like a feral cat in heat.

Jewel---She stoped playing because kids up front were getting a little rough and made a dramatic seen over it. Close to a half hour later when people were looking like they were getting up to leave, she started playing again. I'll never go see her again.

The Lilith Fair in 1997, it was too crowded and the prejudice people we were around was nauseating. Of course it does not help when your g/f is chasing after one of the performers and bragging about it in front of you.

Cher's Farewell Tour. It was great on the DVD that I got, but when she came here to Iowa, her microphone kept cutting out. Plus, she shortened the concert by cutting out songs. $85 to see her wasn't well spent!
