I had the same question. I am taking Prima Care and have been since my miscarriage five weeks ago. They are so very expensive, my insurance pays five dollars on them and that is all. I am not sure what to recommend because I have had the same question. A friend of mine couldn't afford her prenatals and she went to her local health vitamin store and they recommended one. She just had a 7 lb. 11 1/2 oz. healthy baby boy. I hope that this helps.

Go have a look at the ingredient listings on the backs of prenatal vitamin containers that can be picked up over the counter at most drug stores or places where they sell vitamins/prescription meds. You'll find something, I'm sure. Prenatal vitamins are a good idea, but aren't necessary. The body can have a tough time drawing the benefits from them. Don't rely on them 100%, but make sure you're on a healthy pregnancy/ healthy baby diet.

I was unable to take the Prima care due to the fact that they made me sick no matter what time of the day I took them.
My doctor suggested taking Flinstones chewables. I took thouse for a month, I would swallow them like a regular pill bezacuse i couldnt stand the taste. Doc told me to take 2 to equal one Prima care. You can also take the gummy vitamins. I have been taking the "Lil critters" but I take 3.

First, i'm very sorry on your loss and understand you desirous to discover a reason, yet I doubt the supplementations have been the reason. i began out prenatal supplementations while my hubby & I first began attempting to conceive. I stayed on them via fertility remedies, a miscarriage at 6w, then a helpful being pregnant, 2 years of breastfeeding, yet another being pregnant & now breastfeeding the recent one - approximately 6 years in all. i've got on no account heard of any issues worse than constipation. i understand some mothers who took Flintstones chewable supplementations fairly. i think of they took 2/day. ultimate desires for a healthful being pregnant this time.

No, they aren't all equal. I was taking a prescription prenatal pill but I got sick. So I decided to switch to Publix's prenatal brand. If you don't have a publix, try your local grocery store. They are still costly though. Talk to your doctor and/or pharmicist to see what they recommend.

Your doctor should be more helpful!! Find out if the brand your taking has a generic equivalent, or ask the pharmacist for alternative prescriptions that you can talk over with your doctor.
And Congratulations!! Hope all goes well.

My midwife recommended Rainbow Light One A Day, and several friends also use it. I love it- but OTC doesn't neccisarily mean cheap, they are still spendy.

No they are not all equal. Ask the pharmacists to recommend one if the doctor did not.
