I know that terrorists love to "use" the Quran to justify their actions, and like to guise their desire for power under the name of "peace".

As a result, many people equate Islam to terrorism.

Other than that, I have no business with it. Zzz.

Islam is a wicked cult and totaly evil. It spreads hatred and violence. The god allah is Satan but they dont recognize this fact. They say they are peaceful but they are striving to destroy all the Jew and Christians and force Islam onto everyone. The very word Islam means "submit" They believe that each man will have 70 virgins waiting for him in heaven, it's what is promised in their book the koran. They dont say what the women will get when they get to heaven. They treat their women like animals and lower class people. They are intensely jealous because the promise from the one true God went not to Ishmael but to his brother Isaac the son of Abraham. The promise was all the land of the country now called Israel. Ishmael started the religion of islam. You can read all about the begining of them in the book of Genesis in the Bible. Never ever trust a muslim, not ever.

Without criticizing it negatively, my attitude is that it's can be just as bad (or good) as Christianity. Far right-wing Christians can be just as narrow-brained as the radical Muslims.

However, the different factions of Islam such as the Taliban are not necessarily representative of overall Islam, anymore than the Catholic Inquisition represented Christianity or Protestants.

Islam is a little backwards now and needs to catch up. Because, still, strictly speaking, it's incompatible with western thought.

What I know is very little, what I think, is a whole lot.. For one thing, I don't think anyone will ever win this so-called "war" - Religious war have been on this planet since time in the beginning and they are still fighting in Ireland!!Go figure - God, in His Wisdom, created us all equal - but the world still hasn't got it yet!! The picture will be revealed when the "big bang"! happens - and for most of us it will be too late. I am a firm believer in God the Creator, and if I remember - God tells man - that he who lifts the sword in His name, will parish - for that is NOT the way to His Kingdom. Finally - I think we should get the hell out of their - especially Canada, before we become another target for the extremists! Let the people of Islamics beliefs, work things out for themselves - most north Americans haven't a "click or a clue" about that country and its internal workings - and never will.

Islam is a world religion. Muhammad the prophet/manifestation of God is equal in rank to Moses and Jesus the Christ. The Quran is the word of God.
Due to complicated turbulent political forces,self interest and religious bias, Islam is misunderstood in the West.
Like any subject of importance you should judge for yourself, don't be content to adhere to the opinions of your family or friends.
Read up on it yourself.

Islam is a religion of noble basis. Strong moral code and good tradition are being degraded by hatred and militarism. They are a "new religion" and some day ,I hope soon , they will proudly join all their brothers world wide in service to our one Father.
