You, like most people, are probably working, studying in your case, to enjoy this world via sense gratification. In other words, the purpose of most endeavors is to accumulate possessions and money for eating, sleeping, sex, etc. This cannot satisfy us because the body and mind are different from the person, the soul, within the body. The soul within the body, which is our real identity, cannot be satisfied with material enjoyments because the soul is spiritual by nature. A crude analogy: If you take a fish out of water and try to satisfy it with nice food, comfortable place to sit, etc, it's still going to be frantic to get back in the water. We are not the body or mind that covers us. We are the eternal, spirit soul within. For the soul to feel pleasure requires spiritual sustenance which is the spiritual activity of devotional service to the Supreme Lord. We are the Lord's spiritual energy, and so we are meant to serve His desires, this is our constitutional position. The more we try to fulfill our own personal desires, the more unhappy we become. But when we give up our own desires and desire to serve the Lord's pleasure, the more we enjoy complete fulfillment and bliss. No amount of material pleasure will give us the bliss we are always hankering for. But if we are in the association of the Lord by devotional service, we feel unlimited transcendental bliss.

You are unsatisfied ( like the rest of the world lol) because humans are natural perfectionists. It may be that you've grown bored and tired of a certain aspect of your life. Look at your life closely and try to find what it is exactly that is giving you this feeling of unsatisfaction. Even the smallest aspect ( ie. job, wife/husband or even the colour of your bathroom.) could play a big part in your feelings.

Because you are also doing the same. Its like the scented deer which runs all round the forest searching for the source of the scent unaware that its emanating from within itself.

This I would define it as the gap between ambition and achievement. Remove one parameter, and you will be happy in your life.
