Funny, it is well documented in the press and on tv that the so-called conservatives (though I don't call giving billions to corporations conservative, or overspending our means) are the ones that use hate and lies and like to label anyone with a differing opinion as a Liberal. I am not liberal, but according to the hate mongers I am because I don't agree with the invasion some call a war, and I want fiscal responsibility in congress.

I guess that you haven't been reading some of the very negative comments that are supposed to be answers to the questions that Dem's have posed on this site, that came from Rep's. They can make some of the most hateful, arrogant, and mean-spirited sarcastic comments that I have ever read. Why is that? Is it because they see an opinion that is in opposition to their own? It's not right either way...

Are you kidding , ? Surely you jest! Those names are really mild. Some people are proud to be hicks and hillbillys. doesn't mean they are stupid, they just aren't cityfied.
As for vicious name calling, some of it on Answers is kind of skerry. wouldn't you agree? And there are a few who like skerry and foul slurs, so I don't think the libs need the Sh*t For Brains Award, the real skerry, creepy guys have earned it with their negativity, hands down!

I've never used any of those "labels". I challenge you to look back through ALL of my questions & answers to find even ONE that labels any particular group negatively. I give Bush a hard time because I don't agree with him but it by no means makes me blindly hate all Republicans. I have good friends who are Republicans.................

Liberal is a word to descried someone who is accepting of new and different things. The words you list describe people who are not accepting, in fact in the case of bigots and hatemongers they are willfully ignorant and hate-full towards that which is different. Also I would argue that the word conservative describes someone who differs in opinion with liberals, yet if anything has a more positive connotation then liberal.

Because they don't respect other peoples opinions. They seem to be very good at name calling. But as I recall the last President they put into office (Bill Clinton) did a real good job of embarrasing our country & making us look weak. I think it's time we put our differences aside & work together towards a solution instead of always attacking each others views.

Because most people on here are between 14 and about 21, at that age, they know better, they can run the world Blah blah blah. They have no formal background with which to make any life altering decisions or those decisions for anyone else either.
