I have an itea that I think would sell. I found a place called Davison Design, however, when I ask Yahoo about them, 48 people came on and advised not to go with them. I'm no fool so of course I'm going to heed the advise. Since I have no idea how to get my idea developed, I am hoping that someone can tell me how or suggest a honest company to help me.

Unfortunately, inventors have it very tough right now.

There are many (COSTLY!) steps you must follow even before sending your ideas to any companies.

Some of these include:

Patent searches to make sure your product hasn't already been made (costly)
Applying for and receiving a patent
Hiring a pattent attorney to handle all the paper work (Most costly :( )

You do NOT <- underline that! want to submit your ideas to any companies at all until you have secured a patent or have signed non-disclosure, no-compete forms and any other paper work which your lawyer can advise you on.

If you do not do this, there is a very good chance you will have your idea stolen.

Please, take my advice and look for a patent attorney and speak with him regarding submitting your idea to companies and how to go about doing it.

Those companies that advertise on TV and elsewhere about how they can help you patent your invention... are more interested in making their big fee than in helping you patent your invention.

The first question I would ask them is, just how many inventions have they actually helped someone get?... You will be surprised at how few make it all the way.
