Steve Irwin was an ordinary man who had a great passion for animals. He brought his intellect to our homes and taught us about his passion. He was a very vibrant character. I am sad for his passing and the loss of such a wonderful person. He is laid to rest at the Australia Zoo. His family (wife Terry, daughter Bindi, and son Bob) will continue to carry on his work, as well as his family and friends at the zoo. He will forever live on in their work. God Speed Steve Irwin!

I think he was an animal legend...I was watching one of the crocodile hunter episodes yesterday and it was when he went to Antarctica, and he was just so happy and excited to see different kind of animals. He was laying with the seals and sliding down hills with the penguins, it's so sad to see such an amazing character and personality go away. He will be missed tremendously.

Guess he should have thought what I always thought...if you play with fire too many times you are going to get burned......his family should have come before animals...now he has kids who will grow up without a father. He died just as I thought he would die, by an animal. I feel sorry for the kids. They will grow up knowing their dad cared more about animals then them. The animals could live without him pestering them. The kids shouldn't have to live without their dad over something like this.

He was great. He helped a lot of people understand nature and animals more and taught respect for them.

I dont think he would have wanted to die any other way. He loved all animals and knew the risks he had to take to save em.

Millions of people will still see him on TV and i think that's what he wanted, to be remembered and to teach even after his death.

He was a tv star not a legend. He entertained kids & men alike. It was neat to see all of the different animals.

But, if you are going to harass animals for profit, you should not be surprised when they give it back.

There are Aussies everywhere in the entertainment world, they will just replace him with another one.

He was great. Very passionate about his animals, and a real family man. They all got involved!! He was, however, very over the top & theatrical, but hey, that's TV for you! He was, after all, a TV star!
He'll be sadly missed by us Animal Planet viewers!!

the two way, which area of the fence you sit down, He grow to be purely a guy who did what he believed grow to be the right undertaking to do. all of us decide on approaches to stay our lives in this earth which suits our man or woman desires. He decide on "conservation" and tv character. Does that make him any further deserving than somebody else that supplies their life to different pastimes in life? No! you're lacking the element once you place him on a pedistal on the fee of all others. Honour the guy for his easily acheivements not what he would have carried out or grow to be proceeding to do. the international is stuffed with solid intensions. permit him relax in peace as i think of his kinfolk now prefer time to grieve in inner maximum the loss of their son, their husband and their father.

I'm with you, I loved him. He was just so funny and full of passion. Really made me laugh... and on a serious note, because he was so passionate and outragous I think he drew in younger viewers and got their interests raised in wildlife.
