No, I'm not asking you to pick, I'm just wondering what interesting band names you can think of

Off the top of my furry head, and having nothing to do with musical merit whatsoever:

Pop Will Eat Itself
Half Man Half Biscuit
Toad The Wet Sprocket
Soul Coughing
Eyeless In Gaza
Super Furry Animals
The Asylum Street Spankers
Squirrel Nut Zippers
The Violent Femmes
Sixpence None The Richer
The Butthole Surfers
Sorry For Dresden
Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (oooh, verging on twee)
The The (? well, I like it)

Strange but slightly contrived ones:

The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu
Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine
Neutral Milk Hotel
Death Cab For Cutie
We've Got A Fuzzbox And We're Gonna Use It
Peter And The Test Tube Babies (70s/80s)
ANY morbid death metal band, take your pick...
Yip Yip The Cowboy***

Errr...brain ran out of gas : (

Edit: MY BLOODY VALENTINE!!! well done Grinner, can't believe I missed that one - and I have their stuff, too. Better up my dose of doggie memory supplement. Sigh...

Take the first few letters or all the members in the band's surname sor first names or just the initials and create a name with all that. Or alternatively, name the band with streets or roads you know well or childhood memories.
