Sounds like a good idea to me, but who will enforce the rules? Perhaps the Yahoo Police.

Maybe not their age, but an age group range. I have noticed that there is alot of resourceful info from every age group. Just like life you have to pick and choose what you want to take out of the answer.

You can check profiles and see if there is an age there.
I think running your mouse over their name and seeing how many questions they have answered, what level they are on and, in particular, how many best answers they have, is enough to maybe think that they know what they are talking about.
Also, you can sort of gauge from the answers (and in particular the spelling) how educated they are.

I really believe the age of a person can really determine on how the question is answered, yes.

That would be a good idea, then you would be able to answer in better detail for the age group.

Should askers be required to post their IQ so we can consider the source?

well its certainly harder, but I can usualy guess an age area pretty close, theres too many youngens on here for sure! And either the question itself, or the answer gives that way.

Nonsense. I think most Yahoo answerers show their age each time they hit the keyboard.
