The Prime Minister of England lives and works at 10 Downing Street, although because of Tony Blairs large family he lives above 11 Downing Street.
The Prime Minister also has a country residence called Chequers, he goes to chequers at the weekends and during breaks in parliment.
The prime minister does also have his own houses, so that when he is no longer Prime Minister he will have somewhere to live.

The traditional home for the Prime Minister of England is 10 where Tony Blair currently lives with his wife Cherie and their four children. This house has been the official residence for 200 years of two of the most senior British Cabinet Ministers.

10 Downing Street is the residence and office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, situated on Downing Street in the City of Westminster, central London. It is actually the official residence of the First Lord of the Treasury, but in modern times this post has always been held simultaneously with the office of Prime Minister.

Official is 10 Downing Street but the Blairs lived at No 11 because it is bigger. They also have the country residence which is in the Chiltern Hills, just down the road from where I live, and that is called Chequers Manor

Blair actually lives in 11 Downing street when in london. The reason he swapped from the traditional number 10 is that it is a bigger residence (he is the first pm to have a young family with him)
When not in london he lives at the traditional PM residence of chequers whch i think is in Berkshire. He also has a house in his constituency of Sedgefield
