I have oten been told that it is , however, when i have spoken with business owners(primarily those selling their franchise) i learn that its not. However, i am a little skeptical of their opinion due to possible bias. Also, on the other hand with the industry almost 20 years old i would imagine it couldnt be that seasonal. Thanks in advance.

Seasonal meaning more business in summer than winter? One on hand, it could be assumed that people want it cleaned more in summer coz the weather its nice. On the other, in winters car get more dirty(rain, snow) so it could then be more of a necessasity rather than luxury.

I guess it depends where you are doing your detailing at. In winter here, I wouldnt think of getting my car detailed. In fact, in my area, it's not that big of a business, more of a side business to a full service car wash. But, if you life in a warmer climate, I suppose it could be year round. You need to get regular customers, do your friends and relatives for free or cost, then have them pass the word. Word of mouth is the best. Also, when I did get my car detailed, the detailer picked my car up at my office and brought it back later in the day. That was nice. Good luck!

I would say yes definitely. I get my cars detailed every year as soon as winter ends. I always mess up my floors getting in and out during the snow months. Also I don't have $150 to waste per car more than once a year. If you're detailing vehicles for a fleet or for companies,or it's nice where you live all year, I guess that could be a year round thing.

I suspect that it is seasonal. Ask them to examine their books. If they are telling you the truth, they will be happy to comply. If not you will find that out also.
