I think you need to look your best while you are at work. You are representing your company and yourself. I work in a bank and there is a girl there that looks terrible. She looks like she just gets out of bed and comes to work. I have seen pics of her with make up on. And she looks 100% better. When you don't look your best it looks like you would rather not be there.
So put your best foot forward!

Depends what type of Office and where you are - are you on reception?
If you are in general office then I would suggest a light foundation - maybe even just a powder so you can touch up at lunch etc with a lipstick or gloss and mascara.
If you are on reception then go with the foundation, blush, mascara, lipstick or gloss and eyeshadow - all very subtle though. If you do wear a lipstick check it regularly for bleeding outside the lip or wearing off. you may need to reapply a lot if you talk a lot (answer phones etc)
Also buy a really GOOD cleanser and make up remover and clean your face regularly nightly. If your office is air conditioned then it will dry your skin over time and your pores can clog under the foundation in all types of temperature. If you don't keep your face regularly clean after work you may find your skin getting dry or oily with more chance of developing acne or breakouts from clogged pores - which is a vicious circle cause you would then probably wear more make-up longer to hide it which would make it worse.

1. Foundation - there so many variation on it - even can be minerals - but skin must look even and clear - smooth, but NOT shiny (shiny make people look dirty - like they sweet and didn't wash their face, so have compact powder with you to fix shining during day)
2. Lipstick - NO GLOSSES, make nice shape for your lips with lip-liner and feel "inside the shape with lip-liner too (it will help lipstick stay longer) then use lipstick... No bright colors! Only natural, or a little pinky or peach are acceptable.
3. Eye shadow - if you don't know how to use it and never used before - just use a little bit dark gray or brown shadow on outer corner on top and then smooth it as it go towards nose) don't wear eyeliner if you don't know how to use it.
4. Mascara - again when apply bring eyelashes kind of from "inside out"
5. Blushes - apply on sides (not in front) a little bit and smooth it with brush.
Can also use bronzer as blush.
Hare is some tips - if you have foundation and right applied lipstick it will always look like you have a make up on your face... But if you want to bring to attention your eyes better wear eye makeup too..
I'm a makeup artist - so it's professional point of view :)
Good luck

first of all you should apply a liquid neutral makeup in a colour that suits you.try maybeline foundations cause they convert into powder after applying them
then apply some blush.i think peach shades gives a really healthy appearence to almost every woman.smile and apply the blush on the part of the cheeks that curves when you smile(hope you understood what i mean exactly)
put concealer around the eyes cause its nice to lokk fresh in the office
apply neutral eyeshadow on your eyelid a little sparkling maybe
then use your favourite mascara but not tons of it
complete the office look with a lipgloss that is neutral, maybe use just a gloss without colour
so there you have a simple, fresh , healthy look to "wear" in the office and impress everybody
hope i helped
good luck

Minimal? Maybe some chap-stick. No one says women have to wear make up. You should want to know a max, you don't want to look like a clown at work. Well, unless you are a clown, but I don't think you are if you work in an office.

A sheer foundation, a very light blush and same with lipstick. Also some mascara would work ok, but not eye shadow or eye liner.

a bit of mascara and kohl, to brighten up your eyes...i wouldn't wear any lipstick, but maybe some clear lip gloss is nice,,,but it depends on you..personally i wouldn't wear too much because I'd want to be taken seriously in my job and hate any attention from men..

I like to always wear mascara, cause I think it opens your eyes and makes them pop, and lipstick, because without it you can look pale.
